Cultural differences make us behave in different ways and have different personalities. As a consequence, we laugh about/at different things depending on our culture, since it modifies our sense of humour.

Stereotypes
Stereotypes: The Danger of a Single Story.
"The single story creates stereotypes, and the problem with stereotypes is not that they are untrue, but that they are incomplete. They make one story become the only story.”
This is a quotation by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the speaker of the video we watched in class when dealing with stereotypes. I would like you to listen to the rest of the talk, since we didn't have time to listen to it completely. Our activity was based on the ten first minutes (we stopped in minute 9:37, to be precise).

You may need to look up some words in the dictionary, since some information is going to be a little technical and related to art.
